PeakAvenue – SFA Software

Mantua Group delivers System and Function Analysis (SFA) per SAE JA1011 — establishing functions, performance standards, and functional failures before FMEA.
System & Function Analysis
The Mantua Group implements PeakAvenue’s System and Function Analysis capability — building structured system models that connect requirements, functions and failure modes into a coherent engineering foundation, reducing development time, improving FMEA completeness and enabling Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the product lifecycle.

Build Quality from System Architecture Down
Traditional FMEAs start from experience and end in documentation. PeakAvenue’s System and Function Analysis approach starts from a structured system model — building requirements, functions and failure modes into a coherent architecture that connects every quality method to the engineering reality it represents.
System Element & Function Modelling
Define system elements, functions and functional dependencies in a structured tree and network format — suitable for even the largest and most complex system architectures. Work in an assignment matrix for structured overview or in interactive function networks for dependency analysis. System elements, functions and failures are displayed in a clear hierarchy with seamless switching between views.
Netbuilder Visualisation
Netbuilder visualises function and failure networks — highlighting dependencies between system elements and integrating function analyses directly into the FMEA process. Targeted filtering for relevant elements, causes or consequences allows engineers to maintain a clear overview of even the most complex systems. Relationships between requirements, functions and processes are created and linked in a traceable manner with just a few clicks.
Requirements Management — OSSENO reqSuite®
OSSENO’s reqSuite® rm provides centralised, AI-powered requirements management — capturing customer requirements, regulatory requirements and internal specifications in a structured, versioned repository. Requirements are traced from customer input through system specification to FMEA risk analysis, inspection plan and test verification — providing full audit-proof traceability across the digital thread.
FMEA Completeness & Quality
A system model-grounded FMEA is more complete than an experience-grounded one. When functions are explicitly modelled, every function has a corresponding failure mode in the FMEA — eliminating the hidden gaps that allow failure modes to escape analysis. TMG applies this approach particularly to safety-critical systems where FMEA completeness is a regulatory requirement.
QFD & Functional Safety Support
PeakAvenue’s System and Function Analysis supports Quality Function Deployment (QFD) — translating customer requirements into engineering characteristics through structured quality houses. For functional safety applications (IEC 61508, ISO 26262), the function and failure model provides the foundation for Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and Functional Safety Concept development.
MBSE & Design for Quality
PeakAvenue brings Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Design for Quality (DFQ) together within the eQMS — MBSE provides the system logic (functions, dependencies, variants) while DFQ applies methods such as requirements management, FMEA and FTA for early risk mitigation. The result is quality systematically designed into the product, not inspected in after the fact.
How The Mantua Group Delivers System Analysis
TMG brings reliability engineering depth to system and function analysis — ensuring that system models are grounded in operational failure reality, not just theoretical function hierarchies.
System Model Development
TMG facilitates system model development workshops — building system element hierarchies, function networks and failure mode linkages in PeakAvenue e1ns. We ensure that function models reflect the operational reality of how your assets actually perform, drawing on field failure data from Isograph Weibull analysis and RCMCost maintenance records where they exist.
Requirements Traceability Architecture
TMG designs requirements traceability structures using OSSENO reqSuite — from customer requirement capture through system specification, design requirement, verification test and production acceptance criterion. Full traceability ensures that every production requirement is traceable to a customer need, and every quality escape is traceable to a gap in requirements or verification coverage.
FMEA Integration and Completeness Audit
TMG uses the PeakAvenue system model to audit FMEA completeness — verifying that every system function has a corresponding failure mode, every failure mode has identified causes, and every high-severity failure mode has effective preventive controls. This structured completeness check is particularly valuable for safety case submissions and IATF 16949 audit preparation.
Reliability-Quality Digital Thread
TMG specialises in connecting the PeakAvenue system model through to Isograph reliability analysis — mapping system functions to RBD blocks, connecting function failure modes to Isograph FMECA, and linking system-level reliability requirements to component-level Reliability Allocation analyses. This creates a genuine digital thread from customer requirements to demonstrated field reliability.
Model Your System for Quality
Whether you need system and function analysis support, requirements traceability architecture, or MBSE integration with reliability engineering — The Mantua Group is ready to help.
