Matthew Sage – EHS – Contracts and Projects Manager
Matthew Sage is Mantua Group’s contracts and EHS Manager. In his role as Mantua Group’s Contracts Manager, he is directly responsible for determining, implementing, and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans, preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost. Matthew negotiates contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements and monitors and reviews storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels. He also operates Mantua Group’s recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods while ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times.
As EHS Manager, Matthew develops, implements, and reviews environmental health management plans and occupational health and safety plans. He prepares and implements plans and strategies for the safe, economic, and suitable disposal of commercial, industrial, medical, and household wastes. Matthew advises on and enforces legislation, implementing prevention programs and strategies for communicable diseases, food safety, wastewater treatment and disposal systems, recreation and domestic water quality, contaminated and hazardous substances, and minimizing air, sea, water, and noise pollution to improve health outcomes.
He holds a certificate III in Work Health and Safety (BSB30719) from the Rhodes College in Melbourne as well as a degree in International Business from the Missouri State University in the United States, having completed much of his studies at the Dalian Normal University in China and Cleveland State University in Cleveland Ohio, USA.
