Why Choose AWB Weibull Analysis

Weibull analysis within AWB transforms raw maintenance history into statistically defensible failure distributions. TMG brings deep methodology expertise — critical for infrastructure asset fleets with incomplete records and regulatory scrutiny.

📈

Goodness-of-Fit & Correlation Coefficient

AWB reports correlation coefficient and goodness-of-fit diagnostics for every Weibull fit, providing an objective measure of how well the chosen distribution describes your data. Critical for defending parameter choices in regulatory submissions and internal investment cases.

⚙

2P and 3P Weibull Fitting

Fit two-parameter or three-parameter Weibull distributions to your failure data. The location parameter γ accounts for failure-free periods — essential for assets with installation burn-in or a minimum guaranteed life before the first failure mode activates.

📊

Suspended Data Handling

Correctly account for assets still in service (right-censored observations) using AWB's suspension-adjusted ranking. Suspensions are retained in the analysis rather than discarded, producing parameter estimates that reflect the entire fleet population.

$

B-Life and P-Parameter Metrics

Compute B10, B50, B90 lives, MTTF and arbitrary P-parameter values (B5, B95, etc.) directly from fitted parameters. These metrics feed directly into RCMCost maintenance interval optimisation and AvSim Monte Carlo failure distributions without re-entry.

🔍

Automatic Distribution Selection

AWB ranks candidate distributions (Weibull, Lognormal, Normal, Exponential) by goodness-of-fit and recommends the best statistical representation of your data. Useful when failure mode behaviour isn't known in advance, or when comparing fleet segments with potentially different underlying physics.

👥

Batch Population Analysis

Analyse entire asset populations — transformer fleets, pole networks, insulator strings — segmented by rating, manufacturer or condition grade. Each segment is fitted independently, giving you a clear view of how failure behaviour varies across your asset base.

🎓

Training & Methodology Transfer

TMG delivers AWB Weibull training covering software operation, rank regression theory, suspended data handling, distribution selection and goodness-of-fit interpretation. We also develop internal capability through mentored analysis of your own asset data — learning by doing on real problems.

How The Mantua Group Works With You

Every organisation is at a different point in its reliability journey. We match our engagement to where you are — from full hands-on delivery through to training your team to self-sufficiency.

We Do — You Learn

TMG leads the full implementation with your team participating throughout to build genuine capability alongside delivery. Ideal for first-time deployments or when internal resources are stretched.

We Do Together

Our most common model. TMG engineers work alongside your maintenance, operations and engineering teams in structured workshops — combining their asset knowledge with our analytical methodology to produce models your team trusts and owns.

We Train — You Do

For teams building internal capability, TMG delivers structured training covering software operation, methodology, and integration. Available as public courses or dedicated onsite delivery across Australia and the United States.

Independent Review & Audit

TMG provides independent technical review of existing models and regulatory submissions — assessing methodology rigour, data quality and standards compliance. Particularly valuable ahead of AER determinations, investment board presentations or safety audits.
