RWB Parts Libraries — Failure Data at Scale
The Mantua Group helps engineering teams unlock the full value of Reliability Workbench’s three integrated parts libraries: the 90,000-part Electronic Parts Library, the NPRD-2016 mechanical library and the IAEA-TECDOC-508 nuclear reliability library — providing defensible failure data for FMECA, fault tree, RBD and prediction work.

Why Choose RWB Parts Libraries
Failure data quality is the single greatest determinant of analysis credibility. RWB’s integrated libraries provide tens of thousands of curated parts ready for drag-and-drop — but extracting full value requires methodology. TMG delivers it.
Electronic Parts Library
RWB’s ever-growing Electronic Parts Library currently contains data from over 90,000 parts sourced from manufacturer datasheets across the globe — covering ICs, semiconductors, passive components, package types, quality grades and major manufacturers. Powerful sort and filter features get analysts to the right part fast.
NPRD-2016 Non-Electronic Library
The NPRD-2016 library, sourced from Quanterion Solutions, contains failure rate data for thousands of mechanical, electromechanical and discrete electronic parts and assemblies — with associated FMD-2016 failure modes that auto-populate FMECA blocks when parts are dragged into a project.
IAEA-TECDOC-508 Library
The IAEA library is taken directly from IAEA-TECDOC-508 — Survey of Component Reliability Data for Probabilistic Safety Assessment. Failure rate and availability data for batteries, buses, diesel generators, inverters, motors, pumps, rectifiers, relays, switches, transformers, transmitters and valves.
Powerful Filter & Search
Information across all three libraries can be searched using powerful sorting and filtering features. Selected parts drag-and-drop directly into FMECA blocks, fault tree events, RBD blocks or prediction projects — complete with failure rates and (for NPRD parts) failure modes already attached.
Custom Internal Libraries
Public libraries are a starting point, not a destination. TMG builds custom internal libraries from your own operational data — encoding LTRC-corrected Weibull parameters, plant-specific failure modes and validated cost figures. The result is a curated reliability asset that compounds over years.
Library Methodology Training
TMG trains analysts on when to trust public library data, when to supplement with operational data, how to assess source-data applicability, and how to maintain custom internal libraries. Available as part of broader RWB training or as a standalone module.
How The Mantua Group Works With You
Library work spans from one-off data sourcing engagements through to multi-year custom library development programmes. We match our engagement model to your need.
We Do — You Learn
For teams new to RWB’s libraries, TMG demonstrates how to extract maximum value from the bundled data: search workflows, drag-and-drop into different module types, library override patterns, and integration with FMECA and Prediction modules.
We Do Together
Our most common engagement. TMG reliability engineers work alongside your team on real projects — FMECA, fault tree, RBD or prediction work — teaching library use in context. Your team internalises the methodology while delivering real outputs.
We Train — You Do
TMG delivers structured RWB Parts Libraries training: the three library structures, search and filter techniques, drag-and-drop workflows, FMD-2016 failure mode integration, and custom library design. Available as public courses or onsite delivery.
Independent Review & Audit
TMG audits existing FMECA, fault tree and prediction work to assess whether library data has been applied appropriately — checking for source applicability, environmental factor adjustments, quality grade selection, and over-reliance on public data where operational data is available.
