Why Choose RWB Weibull Analysis
Field data and test data contain the most accurate information about how your components actually fail — but only if correctly analysed. RWB Weibull provides a rigorous statistical framework for extracting failure rate and life distribution parameters that are genuinely representative of your components' behaviour.
MLE and Rank Regression Fitting
RWB supports both Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) — statistically optimal for large datasets with censored observations — and rank regression (OLS) on Weibull probability paper. TMG applies MLE as the default for infrastructure and fleet data, with rank regression retained for small samples and visual diagnostic purposes.
Suspended Data Analysis
Correctly handling suspended observations — units still in service at the time of analysis — is essential for unbiased parameter estimation. RWB implements suspension-adjusted ranking and MLE likelihood functions that account for right-censored observations without discarding or misclassifying them.
Accelerated Life Test Data
Analyse failure data from accelerated life testing — fitting Weibull distributions at each stress level and applying Arrhenius, inverse power law or Eyring models to extrapolate to design operating conditions. Provides failure rate and B-life estimates from test data before sufficient field experience exists.
Confidence Bounds
Quantify the uncertainty in estimated parameters with Fisher Matrix or Likelihood Ratio confidence bounds on η, β and derived metrics (B-life, MTTF, reliability at time t). Confidence bounds are mandatory in regulatory submissions where parameter uncertainty directly affects expenditure justification.
Integration with RWB Modules
Weibull-fitted failure rates and repair distributions feed directly into RWB's FMECA criticality calculations, fault tree basic event probabilities and RBD block reliabilities. A single Weibull analysis flows through the entire RWB model without re-entry — maintaining consistency across the analysis suite.
Training and Methodology
TMG delivers RWB Weibull training covering software operation, MLE theory, suspended data handling, ALT analysis and confidence bound interpretation. We also provide mentored analysis of your data — applying LTRC MLE methodology to existing maintenance records to build defensible failure distributions for regulatory use.
How The Mantua Group Works With You
Every organisation is at a different point in its reliability journey. We match our engagement to where you are — from full hands-on delivery through to training your team to self-sufficiency.
We Do — You Learn
TMG leads the full implementation with your team participating throughout to build genuine capability alongside delivery. Ideal for first-time deployments or when internal resources are stretched.
We Do Together
Our most common model. TMG engineers work alongside your maintenance, operations and engineering teams in structured workshops — combining their asset knowledge with our analytical methodology to produce models your team trusts and owns.
We Train — You Do
For teams building internal capability, TMG delivers structured training covering software operation, methodology, and integration. Available as public courses or dedicated onsite delivery across Australia and the United States.
Independent Review & Audit
TMG provides independent technical review of existing models and regulatory submissions — assessing methodology rigour, data quality and standards compliance. Particularly valuable ahead of AER determinations, investment board presentations or safety audits.
Fit Defensible Failure Distributions
Whether you need Weibull analysis of field data, ALT results or maintenance records for a safety case or regulatory submission — The Mantua Group is ready to help.
