Why Choose AWB Accelerated Life Testing

When operating life spans years or decades, waiting for field failures to inform design decisions is not viable. ALT compresses years of wear into weeks of testing — and AWB provides the statistical framework to extrapolate accelerated results to normal operating conditions with quantified uncertainty.

🔥

Arrhenius Thermal Model

The Arrhenius model quantifies the accelerating effect of elevated temperature on degradation rate — fundamental to electronic component, insulation and polymer reliability. TMG applies Arrhenius analysis to transformer insulation, cable systems, motor windings and electronic control systems across utility and industrial applications.

⚡

Inverse Power Law

Model the effect of elevated stress — voltage, mechanical load, current — on component life using the inverse power law. Critical for capacitors, insulators, bearings and structural components where stress magnitude is the primary life driver and accelerated testing under elevated loads provides rapid life data.

📈

Multi-Stress Eyring Model

When temperature and a secondary stress (voltage, humidity, vibration) interact to drive degradation, the Eyring model provides the physically motivated framework. AWB supports multi-stress ALT designs that characterise component life across the full operating envelope.

✅

Acceleration Factor Calculation

Compute the acceleration factor between test conditions and field operating conditions — quantifying exactly how many field-hours each test-hour represents. Validate your test plan before committing resources by confirming the acceleration factor achieves the required equivalent life coverage.

📋

Weibull Fitting at Each Stress Level

At each stress level, AWB fits a Weibull distribution to the observed failures — providing shape parameter β and scale parameter η at each condition. The stress-life model then extrapolates these distributions to the design operating stress, producing life estimates with confidence bounds.

🎓

ALT Study Design & Analysis

TMG supports the full ALT programme — from test plan design (stress levels, sample sizes, test duration) through data collection, statistical analysis and final reliability prediction. We ensure your ALT investment generates the life data your design and regulatory submissions require.

How The Mantua Group Works With You

Every organisation is at a different point in its reliability journey. We match our engagement to where you are — from full hands-on delivery through to training your team to self-sufficiency.

We Do — You Learn

TMG leads the full implementation with your team participating throughout to build genuine capability alongside delivery. Ideal for first-time deployments or when internal resources are stretched.

We Do Together

Our most common model. TMG engineers work alongside your maintenance, operations and engineering teams in structured workshops — combining their asset knowledge with our analytical methodology to produce models your team trusts and owns.

We Train — You Do

For teams building internal capability, TMG delivers structured training covering software operation, methodology, and integration. Available as public courses or dedicated onsite delivery across Australia and the United States.

Independent Review & Audit

TMG provides independent technical review of existing models and regulatory submissions — assessing methodology rigour, data quality and standards compliance. Particularly valuable ahead of AER determinations, investment board presentations or safety audits.
